OOPS! I touched a raw nerve!

I am told that my musings about a female successor to Adam price has touched a raw nerve in the Plaid camp.

Mr Price, apparently, had a male heir all lined up and in situ to take over the Carmarthen East and Dinefwr nomination by default.

An heir who, I understand, is now spitting blood because somebody who is not even a f***ing party member has suggested that Price's successor should be a woman and is spoiling his f***ing chances with feminist crap!

Oops! Sorry! I was just thinking out loud about Plaid policy, rather than trying to scupper any bloke's chances!

  2. The nomination is wide open. There will be pressure for Plaid to have a female candidate in a seat they currently hold (especially I presume from other members of the left of the party if not Price himself). Party members will also be under pressure to select a worthy national figure as successor to Price and not just a decent local candidate.

  3. If Plaid use Price's seat to fulfill some criteria other than excellence, they'll make a mockery of the work we activists have put in over the last few years. Thanks to these bloody stupid rules we've got AM who are in situ thanks to a few dozen votes, and people like Wigley on the sidelines.
Enough of this crap. get the absolute best person regardless of anything. We already have an equal opps record to be proud of, better than any other party in Wales, and it's now time to concentrate on building on Price's record. Anyone who fails to do that will be failing the party and the country.

  4. This story is bullshit. Jonathan Edwards is 95% certain of being selected as Plaid Candidate.

  5. Jonathan Edwards, the man they are now calling 'The Gladiator' is the obvious choice. Articulate, savvy and fearless, he stands head and shoulders above the other (so far supposedly) declared candidates. The problem is, if you choose someone for their sex rather than their ability, and their 'attack ratio', the seat could fall back into the hands of the scumbags who have done so much to destroy Wales. Edwards has the brain, the brawn and the political will to keep Wales victorious in this seat. The other contenders are pygmies. Long live the Gladiator!

Like all journalists I won't name my source - not because of any ethical reason; just because if I did say who told me this that person probably wouldn't phone again.

As I didn't hear the altercation first hand it would also be unfair if I named names on the basis of hearsay

As to other comments I know nothing of Jonathan Edwards. I am surprised, however, that his avid supporters feel the need to hide behind the cloke of anonymity.

No offence Alwyn but i take from this that your post is based entirly on hearsay and in a bit to try and undermine a particular opponent. I would have thought you were a bit too smart to be used as part of someone elses game
