All the best in Llansanffraid Gasso!

  1. The poster says it all "Action, integrity, Community". The final count is a testament to the faith the villagers have in Graham to continue giving his absolute all for Glan Conwy. No spruiking idle promises, no political party to back him, no huge poster campaign; Graham as an Independent speaks for itself. Llongyfarchiaddau Tad!!!!

  2. I have lived in Glan Conwy for just over 5 years, have never met Graham Rees nor any other candidate but, what I have noticed is that Mandy Moore seems to do more for this village than any of them, and no I don't know her either so I'm not prejudiced! Still- congratulations to Mr Rees.

    1. True, Mandy Moore is an absolute star and a credit to the village but the crossing campaign has been going on since I was a kid living in Glan Conwy. I could write a list of things Graham has done for the village (he walked around the county of Gwynedd in the 1990's to raise money for the Scout Hut build, was instrumental in the Cae Fwt Development, organised a team that included his own family and Mandy to build the Churchyard pathway in 2007 to name a few). He doesn't pull stunts or big note his achievements to get in the Weekly News, many of his efforts are not reported and he has always had the best interests of the village at heart. Ask anyone who has lived in the village for some time and they will tell you that he has certainly earnt his spot on the council.

    2. Anon, All four candidates are very active in village life, I am surprised that an individual who has an interest in the community life of the village over a 5 year period has never heard of any of them. I'm sure that all of the candidates admire and support Mandy's community action group; however Mandy wasn't a candidate in the election and (as far as I know) didn't endorse any of the candidates, so your point is rather facetious.

  3. Congratulations to Graham Rees a man with no hidden agenda just the interests of the residents of Glan Conwy. Graham Rees has done many things for the village he works quietly and diligently.. Not everything reported in the Weekly Liar is as it seems.

  4. Just for the record Glan Conwy residents have been asking for a pedestrian crossing in GlanConwy for the past 45 years it's not a new cause. Good try Mr Worsley using mum of 4 and some very young children who under no circumstance should be anywhere near the A470 on their own, pedestrian crossing or not. As for the skatepark, how long will that fad last, as a ratepayer there are better things I want my council tax spent on.

  5. If there was a pedestrian crossing, it would slow the cars down allowing them to see the speed cops ahead in time, what would the police find to do then, fight crime?.

  6. Sorry to have confused everyone, I do know who Graham Rees and Dan Worsley are, I just haven't met them! Graham Rees has appeared in the Weekly News now and again over the years and I am aware of the work and time he has given to this village. I was not trying to be funny (facetious) by my previous comments, but I am surprised by the response to my mention of Mandy Moore.
