IWJ - Acting First Minister

It has just been announced on News 24 that Ieuan Wyn Jones is to be confirmed as Deputy First Minister by the Queen tomorrow, and that because of Rhodri Morgan's illness he will become acting First Minister immediently on his appointment. I wonder what the Labour opponents to the coalition will make of Labour being part of a Plaid lead government :-)

  1. It was only a few weeks ago, that it looked like the Rainbow was the way to get a Plaid First Minister.

I cant cope with any more surprises..... I quite liked the old dull predictable politics in Wales.....

  2. At a guess, they'll be waiting for cheap jibes like yours to remind them why they didnlt want the deal in the first place.

  3. No cheap jibes, in my opposition to the deal there was an absolute commitment to making whatever was agreed work. I would also support 100% a Labour led government and 'One Wales' doesnt change that.

In a show of mind numbing repetition 'we are where we are'.

Now you can retire. Bye bye Clear Red Water. Off you go to the sea. Things have happened in the Bay when you turned your back, there is no longer 100% Labour and it will never be the same again.

Exactly. And it is such fun to see the squirms of the valley Labour AMs and MPs after the disgusting campaign they played against Plaid. Now they do not know where to put themselves.

Or maybe, they can take their "imaginary" kingdom to another country and ignore the people of Wales altogether. Because that's what it's beginning to look like, a total denial of the needs of the people (including Labour voters) of Wales. All valleys, valleys, valleys. A little patchwork north of Cardiff.
