This is part of the death ode for Wales sung by Gruffydd ab yr Ynad Goch in 1282, at the time of Llywelyn II's murder by the English. It seems like an appropriate song to sing again on the dawn of the day that Plaid Cymru is about to repeat the treachery of old by selling its soul to the enemy.
Dyniadon ynfyd* - indeed!
(translation = stupid fu**ers)
Look on the bright side - Plaid's gang of four have had their wings clipped. Kinnock's gang have had a well-deserved kicking. With a bit of luck the Tories will win the next British election and give the assembly the same powers as Scotland and cut the number of Welsh MPs as part of settling the West Lothian question ... without bothering about a referendum. Oh and Sian Lloyd is flogging her ring on ebay.
ReplyDelete"Plaid Cymru is about to repeat the treachery of old by selling its soul to the enemy."
ReplyDeleteThe treachery, Alwyn, would be to walk away from a chance to gain leverage in Welsh politics for the first time at national level.
I'm with Vaughan on this one:
"Wele'n gwario dydd i'w gofio."
Er, that should read 'gwawrio' of course.
ReplyDeleteA Freudian slip? :)
So I'm not alone feeling very sad today. Dyma uffern.
ReplyDeleteWell you wouldnt have been so miserable if you had gone to nayional council and heard the debate. I spoke and voted against the coalition but have to say I came away feeling a lot happier than i did when i arrived.
ReplyDeletethere are a lot of good things in the deal and the leader knows when Labour mess us about he can tell them his party will put Labour in opposition.
Interwsting times ahead. Plaid need to get organised and get their message out. This will only cause damage where peopel sit about moaning and saying "this will hurt us" instead of getting out and communicating with the voters.
