Socialism in Action?

Whilst I am being condemned by Plaid supporters for daring to oppose socialism and supporting capitalism, I hear odd rumours about the proposed whereabouts of the leader of Plaid Sosialaidd Cymru on March 1st.

I am told that the leader of the Welsh Socialist Soviet, Brother Ieuan Wyn Jones, will be celebrating St Davids Day by ringing the bell to open the Nest of Capitalist Vipers that is the New York Stock Exchange.

Say it ain't so bro, please, say it ain't so
That's not what I wanna hear bro
And I got a right to know
Say it ain't so bro, please, say it ain't so
I'm sure they're telling us lies bro
Please tell us it ain't so

  1. "Tell me its not So!" A betrayal of their socialist principles!

  2. You really do have a chip on your shoulder, don't you? The US just happens to be by far the largest overseas investor in Wales, with ten of thousands of jobs reliant on their firms; many is some of our most deprived communities. He could of course snub this invite.

Just join the Tories and get over it.

  4. Iam sure Alwyn can speak for himself Nonnies 2! I don't think he is knocking the US, but there are those in Plaid that make an art of doing it.

Also I may not agree with his advocacy of independence, but whi would he join the Tories who don't.

I can undersatnd why non socialist nationalist would feel marginalised. There is nothing that represents their point of view.

  5. Alwyn - expect to get lots of flack .... all that type of narrow minded bigot who used to inhabit the various non-conformists sects are found nowadays on the left .... it's their religion you're mocking and of course they don't like it ... the prats.

  6. you have taken my comments out of context, quite frankly. I am pleased to discuss policy issues with you, and your capitalist opinions. But I was mentioning that there was no need to personalise the argument. The counter rally you mention is supposedly a prank to rile people!

The American economy is in depression, the Dow is falling, unemploymnet is rising, whilst Moscow and Peking show healthy budget surpluses.
Mr Jones might have chosen Cuba, which has higher literacy rates than the U.S., and lower levels of crime than Wales.
    What next, re-open the mines?

Incidentally, the largest groups of investors in Wales are the Asians, the English, and the Germans.

  8. Dear Merkin - 2 million Cubans have fled the Castro state for the United States, I don't believe you'll find many going the other way. I guess people just prefer to live in a country where you can read what you want, believe what you want and vote.

Sorry to disappoint you but the American economy is good for a few more years yet.

  9. Hey Bethan, if you are a socialist why do you support £14 Billion being wasted on the BRITISH Military Academy at St Athans?

Surely the money could be better spent on our pensioners and poor?
