South Africa 17 - Wales 16

Any mediocre team can beat an opposing 15.

A good team must be able to beat the opposing fifteen, a bad referee, the wind, the rain and Lady Luck!

Wales failed and was less than mediocre. There are no excuses!

    You forgot to mention the new-fangled ball...

    Seriously, we played brilliantly and should have won - but we have now not beaten one of the top sides in the RWC for 24 years!!!! Our last chance to kill this appaling statistic will probably be against Australia. Otherwise that gap will increase to 28 years.............

    I don't know what's worse, watching an abysmal England beat the Argies or a brilliant Wales lose to the 'boks.

    Actually I do know, watching both on consecutive days grrr!
